He has an impressive record, being ninth all-time in Rangers history with 601 points in 477 games, and helped the team reach the Eastern Conference Final in both 2022 and 2024.
With the NHL trade deadline looming on March 6, the clock is ticking. Several other players, including Carson Soucy, Jonny Brodzinski, Conor Sheary, and Jonathan Quick, are also set to become unrestricted free agents on July 1.
And this is the part most people miss: The Rangers have a solid core of players signed to long-term contracts. Trocheck and Fox are locked in through the 2028-29 season, while Zibanejad, Miller, and Will Borgen are signed through 2029-30. Vladislav Gavrikov and Alexis Lafreniere are under contract until 2031-32, and Shesterkin is signed through the 2032-33 season.
